The Thrift Store is the economic engine that makes possible all the charitable work of St. Vincent de Paul. It provides a channel for the community to donate and recycle clothing, furniture, electronics and household items for resale at modest prices.
We need your help The Thrift Store operates largely on volunteer labor. The store contributes about 85% of the discretionary income we use to subsidize all our other programs.
Today, half of all those who come to us for help must be turned away for lack of funds. We know that a new, larger store will help us meet the gap.
We have purchased additional land and begun development of the new facility. Yet, we face the challenge of sustaining the programs our “family” depends upon while we try to raise the funds needed for new construction.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Credit card donations can be processed at our website www.svdpjuneau.org or calling the Thrift Store directly at 789-5124.
